New Installment: Inverse. The Desert and the Mountain.

Looking at the topography maps of the desert, I often become confused.  While the topo lines of the high peaks show tall uplift-erected structures striking out from the flat normalcy, the desert shows the inverse of eroded, carved out canyons.  They really are the 'Ying' and the 'Yang' for me.  I feel more comfortable in the mountains, but I feel as if there cannot be one without the other.  Traveling to the desert feels like traveling to prehistoric times. There is something magical about it.

The past week I feel fortunate to have past through both of the realms.  Enjoy.

Finishing

My father always told me, "no matter how hard you try, you have got to get the ball across the goal line. " Which is so true.  Good intent can only go so far and at some point you have to finish.

I think a lot of people including myself get stuck in a rut in the winter.  I don't know what it is, but spring is the time to finish, and start new adventures.

The hardest part about painting is knowing when it's finished.  I feels sooo goog to sign and varnish the painting.

Fred's painting, "Patagonian Ski Dreams"

It also feels great to finish a film/edit.  "Big Air on Elk"...

In the winter I feel like it is a lot of meadow skipping, and skiing the flanks of the peaks.  In Spring, it's time to summit.

When one project is finished, then the next can be hatched.

Happy spring!
